Maria Richardson

Maria's quest for conscious body movement, profound connection with yourself and joyful wellbeing has led her to Pilates and Yoga more than 20 years ago.

Through the years she has travelled the world for teacher trainings, workshops and yoga festivals, which has developed her own style of teaching and a great network in the global Yoga Community. In her practice, the principle of control in Pilates and the fluidity of Vinyasa Flow Yoga have interlaced beautifully. Maria's Pilates and Yoga classes are dedicated to deepening the body-mind-breath connection, they are both dynamic, with fluid transitions.

Maria has studied at Shiva Rea's Samudra Global School of Yoga and is a certified Prana Vinyasa Yoga teacher. (One of the few in WA).She holds a Cert IV in Pilates Matwork and Reformer and has completed Diploma of Clinical Pilates. She continues to expand her knowledge by attending extended teacher trainings and workshops.

She is a mama of two beautiful children and a Jack Russel called Milky. Born in Bulgaria, her background is in Marketing and PR, but she has also been teaching Yoga and Pilates in some of the most prestigious studios in Sofia in the meantime. She has exchanged her corporate career and busy city life to living in the beautiful Margaret River, since 2012 and following her passion for movement, love for the ocean and healthy lifestyle. Dedicated sun and ocean lover, you can often see her at the beach and in between teaching Yoga and Pilates she attends weekly Dance Classes, events and workshops.

Helen has been working in the fitness industry since 2003 with multiple qualifications to her name; including Advanced Personal Fitness Trainer and Group instructor, with knowledge in both Yoga and Pilates. She also has specific training in pre and post natal exercise, fitness for the elderly and rehabilitation. Helen achieved her Diploma in Professional Pilates in 2020 studying with the Pilates Fitness Institute, adding to her already established matwork and reformer repertoire. At the Tonic Pilates Collective, Helen is offering matwork and equipment classes catering to all fitness and experience levels. She also teaches a pre and post (mums and bubs) natal class, which is of particular interest to her as she is a mother herself.
